In January, Apple launched a new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro photography challenge, inviting users to send in their best macro shots. Now, the company has revealed the 10 winning photographs.
The challenge, which ran from Jan. 25 to Feb. 16, asked users to take macro photos with their iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max (other iPhone models were not eligible as they don't have macro mode), and share them on Instagram, Twitter, or Weibo.
The winners come from Argentina, Italy, India, Hungary, Thailand, China, and the U.S., with the winning photos mostly focusing on aspects of nature that are mostly invisible to the naked eye.
The motifs aren't exactly surprising for macro photography — flowers, spiderwebs, water drops — but the images are spectacular, showcasing most of all the clarity you can get with the iPhone 13 Pro's camera, even in macro mode.
Apple said the winning photos will be featured on the company's website, on its Instagram, as well as on billboards in select cities.
Check out all of the winning photographs on Apple's website.
