The second-gen SE runs the same S8 chip as the Apple Watch Series 8 and has the same crash detection introduced on that watch. It may not have certain fitness features like the blood oxygen sensor or ECG app, but for anyone who just needs the basics, $199 is the lowest price this watch has ever hit, and makes it significantly less expensive than any other offering in the Apple Watch lineup.
